A 21-year-old Maryland woman, Ambria Farmer, was shot and killed in Fort Dupont Park, Southeast D.C., on Saturday afternoon, July 15, 2024. D.C. police are now offering a reward for information leading to an arrest and conviction in the case.
Police responded to a call about an unconscious person in the park off Minnesota Avenue around 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. Upon arrival, officers discovered Farmer’s body. She had sustained a gunshot wound and was pronounced dead at the scene.
