CAREFIRST CLAIM REP VISIT

Bldg. 3326, Room 102; 9 to 11:30 a.m.; Bldg. E2800, Room 103, 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. The Civilian Personnel Advisory Center has arranged for a claim representative of Care First Blue Cross Blue Shield to visit APG on Wednesday, June 14. The representative will be available to discuss claim problems and plan coverage. No appointment is necessary. RAISING SPECIAL KIDS – BEING A CONSCIOUS PARENT

Corvias Community Center; 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. each Wednesday. To honor National Autism Awareness Month, the Exceptional Family Member Program, or EFMP will host the eight- week program, “Raising Special Kids,” which is designed for the parents of children with special needs. POWER OVER DEBT INFO SESSION

Bldg. 6001, 2nd floor, room 224; 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Session hosted by C4ISR Wellness Committee. If debt is dragging you down, take control of debt before it takes over your life. Power Over Debt: Break the Debt Cycle Informational Session where you will learn about the different kinds of debt, benefits and costs of credit, warning signs you have too much debt, what’s in-and how to get-your credit reports and credit score, how to tackle your debt, how to rebuild good credit, and-most importantly-how to stay out of debt. The session is open to civilians, contractors, and military. NON-C4ISR employees must bring their CAC to gain access to the building. APG POOLS NOW OPEN

The APG North (Aberdeen) Olympic Pool and the APG South (Edgewood) Bayside Pool open for recreation weekend swim starting Saturday, May 27th. Weekend swim hours will be 11:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. through June 11. Full operational hours begin Monday, June 12 and run through Aug. 25.

Lap Swim: Monday through Friday,11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Recreational Swim: Monday through Friday, 12:30 to 7 p.m.; Saturday & Sunday, 11:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.

HEALTH ASSESSMENTS ON APG SOUTH

ABERDEEN FARMER’S MARKET

Festival Park, 4 to 7 p.m. The City of Aberdeen will host its Farmer’s Market this year, on the 1st and 3rd Thursday of the month, May through September. Local vendors will offer produce, eggs, meats, flowers, herbs, baked goods, wine, personal care items and more.

SRC COUNSELING SERVICE

Through a special partnership, counseling services through the City of Aberdeen Vet Center for active duty service members, veterans and their families are available on a limited basis at the APG SHARP Resource Center. Available services include individual, group, marital, family, bereavement and sexual trauma counseling. COUPLES COUNSELING

Behavioral Health Care Services, or BHCS, at Kirk U.S. Army Health Clinic is offering new Couples Counseling known as “The Sound Relationship House” which focuses on creating shared goals, commitments, managing conflicts and more. BHCS at KUSAHC offers a variety of counseling services, crisis intervention and referral assistance to active duty service members, military retirees and their families. Services are available 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. BREAKING THE SILENCE SUPPORT GROUP

Dates and locations are confidential. Breaking the Silence Support Group is for service members and family members who have experienced domestic abuse. The group offers support through bi-weekly educational meetings, networking opportunities and a safe space where the healing process can begin. RETIRING SOON? UNCLE SAM WANTS TO THANK YOU!

Are you an APG Soldier or civilian nearing retirement from government service? Consider participating in the monthly Installation Retirement Ceremony. Hosted the last Thursday each month (except in November and December when hosted the first Thursday of the month) by the APG Garrison, the event includes awards and decorations provided to retirees and their spouses. Photo discs are mailed to each retiree four to six weeks after the ceremony. All Soldiers and civilians are eligible to participate, regardless of unit or organization.
