Top comedians coming to APG as part of Army Entertainment Comedy Tour

Three top-tier comedians will grace the APG North (Aberdeen) recreation center stage when Morale, Welfare and Recreation presents the Army Entertainment Comedy Tour Wednesday, Nov. 15.

Finesse Mitchell, best known for his work on NBC’s “Saturday Night Live,” Felipe Esparza, of BET’s “Comic View” and “The Shop” and Seaton Smith, from FOX’s “Mulaney” and Comedy Central’s “The Nightly Show,” will launch nonstop jokes and anecdotes to convulse listeners in laughter.

Finesse Mitchell

Mitchell is best known for his work on NBC’s ‘Saturday Night Live,’ 2003-2006, but the actor, stand-up comedian, and writer has many other impressive comedy credits to his name. More recently, he starred in the 2016 HBO pilot “Brothers in Atlanta” and in the Showtime TV series “Roadies.” Mitchell has also appeared in the recent hit comedies ‘Think Like a Man’ and ‘Ride Along.’

Mitchell tours regularly, and his stand up sets have received national attention on NBC’s “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno,” “Late Night with Jimmy Fallon,” “The Arsenio Hall Show,” B.E.T’s “Comic View,” and “Tyra.”

Felipe Esparza

Since coming to national attention as a finalist on NBC’s “Last Comic Standing” in 2010, Felipe Esparza has built a comedy empire one fan at a time. Esparza is the most popular stand up in a new and exciting crossover market, bringing both Latino and non-Latino audiences out to the biggest comedy clubs and theaters in America. In addition to Last Comic, TV audiences will know Felipe from “The Arsenio Hall Show,” BET’s “Comic View,” and “The Shop.” Felipe’s most popular credit to date, though, is his massively successful Showtime special “They’re Not Gonna Laugh at You” which has propelled him to sell-out crowds across the country, including two sold-out shows at Nokia Live in Los Angeles in February 2016. Seaton Smith

Having honed his material in the comedy clubs and bars of New York City, Smith got his first big break in 2014, landing the role of ‘Motif’ on FOX’s “Mulaney.”

Since “Mulaney,” Smith has appeared on hit shows like Comedy Central’s “Inside Amy Schumer,” “Girls,” and “The Nightly Show.” He has also performed stand up on NBC’s “Late Night with Seth Meyers.”

In September 2015, Seaton released his debut album, “Bologna Meat,” which Laugh Button called: “…smart, energetic, and refreshingly clever.”
