Holiday Tree Lighting Today

APG Senior Commander Maj. Gen. Randy Taylor invites Team APG to attend the Holiday Tree Lighting Festival today, starting at 4 p.m.

The festival will take place near the intersection of Harford Boulevard and Rodman Road on APG North. All installation personnel and their families are invited to attend.

The event kicks off at 4 p.m. with the start of the holiday parade through the Bayside housing community. The parade will include the APG Helmet Car, the Aberdeen High School Marching Band, cadets from Freestate ChalleNGe Academy; various military vehicles, and Santa Claus escorted by

At 5 p.m., attendees will honor retreat, and then officially welcome Santa’s arrival at APG. Then, senior leaders will provide remarks and attendees can join in holiday carols and music from the Aberdeen High School Marching Band and Choir, and the Freestate ChalleNGe Academy Choir, and enjoy free hot cocoa, cookies and pizza.

The final countdown to the tree lighting will begin around 5:50 p.m.
