Kirk U.S. Army Health Clinic, or KUSAHC, has ordered annual influenza vaccines for the 2017-2018 season for the Aberdeen Proving Ground population to include: active duty, occupationally required employees, and TRICARE beneficiaries.
At this time, KUSAHC continues to receive small shipments. Additional doses should be received within the next few weeks. Once more supplies become available, influenza immunizations will be offered to the entire TRICARE beneficiary population.
KUSAHC is currently vaccinating active duty personnel. Vaccinations of TRICARE beneficiaries begins Nov. 15, 2017. For active duty service members, KUSAHC has coordinated scheduled dates with tenant units to administer the vaccine.
Family Flu Prevention Days will be implemented this year with the intent of maximizing flu prevention efforts by vaccinating eligible families with school-age children during designated counties public schools off days. More information will be offered as more supplies are received.
